Account deletion
How to delete your account and what happens to your data.
- Guide updated
- November 1, 2026
This guide explains the account-deletion process. It supplements the Privacy Policy and does not replace it.
Start a request
- Open account deletion and sign in if asked.
- Review the account, personal-data effects and deletion timing.
- Type DELETE in the separate confirmation.
- Once your request is accepted, you are signed out on that device.
You can reach this page without selecting an organization or granting AI-processing permission.
Restore your account
Sign in, open Account settings and choose Cancel deletion request before deletion starts. Signing in alone does not cancel deletion. You can continue using the workspace while the request is pending. Connections and automations are unchanged by either the request or cancellation.
What is deleted
Your account and associated personal data are included in the request. Attributable personal content and contributions are removed while other people's contributions and unrelated organization work stay available. Our team handles shared content carefully so deleting your data does not erase other people's work.
Customer-controlled data is also subject to the applicable customer agreement and Data Processing Addendum. This does not mean that all shared contributions are automatically retained.
Organizations and subscriptions
Deleting your individual account does not automatically close organizations or cancel their subscriptions. Our team handles account and personal-data cleanup while preserving other people’s work. Contact support about any separate organization or billing action.
Timing and confirmation
Acceptance signs you out on that device. Unless you cancel your request, active-system data is deleted within 30 days of the request; encrypted backups retire on their normal rotation, no later than 90 days, as described in the Privacy Policy. A minimal deletion-event record can be retained to demonstrate compliance. We send confirmation when deletion is complete.
Contact support if you need help with an accepted deletion request.

If you used Sign in with Apple, you can separately stop its authorization in Settings: tap your name, Sign in with Apple, then Bright or Brightstack and Delete. Follow the confirmation steps. See Apple's authorization-management instructions. This is separate from deleting your Bright data. Your data-deletion request continues while any separate Apple authorization is handled. Deleting your data does not by itself confirm that Apple authorization was revoked automatically.
See Support or email [email protected]. Do not send passwords, verification codes or private workspace content. Support supplements the in-product request; it is not a required email step to initiate deletion.
